This professional quality, 5-Sided Throwing Star is crafted from 440 stainless steel and is approximately 4" wide. It is well balanced and comes with a free, black nylon case.

History
The exact date and origin of the shuriken (throwing star) is unknown. It is believed that it originated in China around 600AD and that it was first utilized in Kung Fu and Ninjitsu. The shuriken (throwing star) was a perfect weapon for its time. It could be easily concealed and unlike the throwing knife, the throwing star was designed to injure the target regardless of the edge that struck. Some shuriken would be treated with poison so that a kill could be accomplished regardless of how much damage was done.
