Kendo is the modern art and sport of Japanese fencing. Emphasizing etiquette and honor, warriors train their bodies and sharpen their minds with this discipline. A jacket and Hakama Pants are usually worn underneath the armor. The Kendo Armor is dark blue with red accents and comes with a drawstring storage bag. The following is included: Do-A breastplate worn over a jacket, covering from the neck to the waist. Men-A headguard consisting of a steel grill and heavily padded cloth that covers the head, throat, and shoulders. Kote-A type of fencing glove covering the hands and forearms. Tare-A heavily quilted waistband covering the hip and groin area generally worn over the Hakama Pants.
